Grading Cost Calculator from Israel
Sending a card to PSA or CGC? Calculate the true door-to-door cost — including customs on the way back, not just the grading fee.
Updated 10 July 2026
How is this calculated?
- The grading fee converts to ILS at the plain USD/ILS rate — it doesn't pass through customs.
- Return shipping and the cards' declared value do go through the same customs test as any personal import — exempt up to $75, and above it, 18% VAT on the cards and shipping together.
- The return leg is calculated at the Bank of Israel rate plus 0.5%, exactly like our customs calculator.
Rates are current as of July 2026, editable to match the tier you chose, and are not an official binding customs calculation.
Frequently asked questions
Does the calculator include the grading fee itself?
Yes. Enter the fee for your chosen tier (editable), and the calculator converts it to ILS and adds it to the total, alongside both shipping legs and the return-leg VAT.
What's the difference between this and the customs calculator?
The customs calculator is for a parcel arriving from abroad as a regular purchase. This one adds the grading fee and both shipping legs (outbound and return) to the customs math on the card's return — the full picture of grading cost from Israel.
Why does the declared value on the return parcel matter so much?
Because customs tests the value declared on the return parcel, not what you paid for grading. Too low a value can hurt your insurance coverage; an inflated value raises VAT if you cross the exemption threshold.
