On this page
haklaf (הקלף) is an independent Israeli classifieds board for trading cards - Pokémon and One Piece - alongside a Hebrew-first content site: guides on pricing, grading, customs and safe trading, plus two calculators. The platform operates under the haklaf brand alone, and that is the name behind every guide, every listing and every reply you get by email.
What haklaf is, and what it is not
- A classifieds board, not a shop. haklaf does not sell cards, hold inventory or take a commission on any deal. Posting a listing is free.
- No payments through the site. haklaf does not move money, hold escrow or broker payment. The final price, the payment method and the handover are agreed between buyer and seller.
- Deals close directly. A buyer clicks "Interested" on a listing, the seller approves, and both sides receive contact details and continue on WhatsApp or in person. Until approval, nobody's phone number is revealed.
- haklaf is not a party to the deal. We do not inspect items in advance or guarantee a transaction; inspection, payment and handover are the parties' responsibility. The binding text is the Terms of Use.
Why we built haklaf
Most card trading in Israel happens in Facebook groups and on yad2. There is no shared condition scale there, no price reference, and your phone number ends up public. Suspicion is a reasonable response: counterfeits and scams are part of the market. We built haklaf to give three concrete answers to those three problems.
- A live price anchor, in shekels. Every listing shows the current TCGplayer market price, converted to ILS at the current dollar rate, next to the seller's asking price. A fairness tag marks whether the price sits within the market range, above it or below it - you compare instead of guessing. How it is calculated: the pricing guide.
- Your phone stays private until you approve. Your number appears nowhere on the board. It is passed to the other side only after the seller approves a specific request from a specific buyer, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
- Moderation, reporting and blocking. A new seller's first listings are reviewed before they go live. Every listing and profile has a report and a block button, and the public profile shows a deal count and membership age. What to check before you close: the safe trading guide.
How we write the guides
The guides are the reason many collectors arrive here for the first time, so they are held to the same rules on every page:
- Written in Hebrew, for the Israeli market. They are original work, not a translated English forum. Each guide covers what matters from here: VAT on personal imports, sending cards for grading from Israel, prices in shekels, local shops and groups.
- Linked sources. Figures - grading-company price lists, Israel Tax Authority rules, auction-house results - are verified against the primary source and linked from inside the guide. Where sources disagree, we say so rather than pick the convenient number.
- An update date on every guide. Each page shows when it was last revised. When a rule changes - the VAT exemption threshold on imports, for example - the guide and the calculator are updated together, never one without the other.
- Open corrections. Found a mistake, a price that has moved or a better source? Write to us; we check against the source and fix it.
- No ads, no stakes. The site carries no advertising and sets no advertising cookies. The shops, grading services and apps mentioned in the guides appear with no business relationship between us and them.
- The brand stands behind the content. The guides are written and reviewed by the haklaf team and published under the brand, exactly like the Terms and the Privacy Policy. Everything here can be checked: the sources are inside, and the inbox is open.
What we are not
- Not investment advice. The price anchor and the investing guide are general information. Cards are a volatile, illiquid asset, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell.
- Not tax advice. The customs calculator and the grading cost calculator give estimates only. The actual charge is set by the Israel Tax Authority and the courier.
- Not affiliated with the rights holders. haklaf is an independent collectors' marketplace and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, or Toei Animation. Card names and images appear solely to identify the items offered for sale.
